The exclusive retirement development in the Southern Suburbs includes a wide range of amenities, with units starting from R2m.
Prospective residents of Claremont’s new and exclusive retirement development, Quadrant Gardens, have an exciting opportunity to secure their unit at pre-launch prices. The official launch will only take place in May, but interested buyers are now invited to contact the Pam Golding Properties Retirement Sales division to be part of this remarkable residential offering.
Construction on this final phase of The Quadrant is well underway with completion scheduled for the first half of 2019. The mixed-use complex already comprises 150 apartments, 3 500m2 of consulting offices and 1 500m2 of retail space which includes a renowned Italian restaurant, coffee shop, hairdresser, massage spa, wellness centre, gymnasium and a 25-metre indoor pool as well as the Claremont public library.
“Twelve of the apartments in Quadrant Gardens have already been reserved and we expect that, given the limited availability of urban retirement options in the Southern Suburbs, these units will be in very high demand,” says Bev Bloch, manager of the Pam Golding Properties specialised Southern Suburbs Retirement Sales team who are marketing this unique development.
Designed for the over 60s, Quadrant Gardens will consist of 78 spacious Life Right apartments intended for independent living, as well as assisted living care package options. Each of the units will be fitted with emergency care-call communication, while a 19-bed on-site Care Centre will be available for those who require 24-hour nursing. Located in Claremont’s medical precinct, tenants will also have easy access to emergency, high-care and surgical facilities at the nearby Life Kingsbury Hospital as well as the 40 or so specialist consultants based at Library Square and surrounds.
“People looking to enjoy their retirement years are no longer settling for the traditional old age home. We are finding that retirees want a lock-up-and-go lifestyle in a secure development that offers an array of activities and services. The provision of a Care Centre has also become increasingly important,” says Bloch. The units at Quadrant Gardens, which range from studios to large two and three bedroom apartments, will have high quality finishes and fittings and will be available from a starting price in the region of R2 million up to R6.5 million.
Residents will enjoy the use of the rooftop terrace which will include a recreational area and croquet court offering spectacular views. There will also be an in-house restaurant, private garden, lounge and library as well as the use of the adjoining Quadrant Gymnasium and indoor pool. “Quadrant Gardens offers a unique urban lifestyle that certainly meets the expectations of modern retirees. It is also located close to the Claremont CBD and Cavendish Square,” says Bloch.
Quadrant Gardens will be managed by the Cape Peninsula Organisation for the Aged (CPOA) and is a joint venture with Corevest, who was responsible for the development of the entire Library Square/Quadrant precinct. Owing to its 65 years of experience in retirement living, CPOA’s involvement will ensure the skilled and professional management of Quadrant Gardens. “With this development partnership, prospective owners and their families can be assured of a superior product that balances quality of life with enhanced real estate values,” adds Bloch.
