Food and wine pairings have long moved past just being about cheese and wine. With artisanal curators of different beverages and their accompanying bites gaining relevance on the South African foodie scene, the opportunity to get together and celebrate great pairings has never been more popular. In the midst of all this, the Coffee and Chocolate expo returns to Montecasino from 14 to 17 July, and promises to bring visitors funky new experiences, while still showcasing the unforgettable staples of the expo’s previous years.

Coffee and chocolate expo

Far from just being about coffee and chocolate, the expo invites visitors to sample, taste, and buy anything to do with these two luxury creations. Divided into different sections for different tastes and experiences, the expo will give visitors the opportunity to walk around and immerse themselves in all different aspects of the art of coffee and chocolate.

A definite highlight each year, the Coffee Theatre dominates the Steampunk Experience area, inviting visitors to watch how to make a great cup of coffee while using top coffee machines and working with innovative coffee connoisseurs. Taking the time to educate visitors about the process behind making an excellent cup of coffee, the Coffee Theatre is the perfect spot to learn about its history and origins from bean to cup.

Top chefs will keep you up to date with the latest chocolate trends and innovations while teaching you how to make simple but delicious recipes at home.
