Suburb focus on Lonehill

The suburb of Lonehill has a low crime rate, affordable property and an exciting lifestyle.

Safety and low crime rates are what most people look for when they decide to buy property in an area. Lonehill, north of Johannesburg, satisfies these conditions, and offers freehold homes, estate homes and apartments.

Estate agents say the suburb continues to see many properties changing hands, and add that entry-level properties continue to offer good value for money – you can buy an apartment for less than R1m. Portia Mazibuko, who has lived in Lonehill for four years, loves the area for its convenient location close to Montecasino, Johannesburg's premier destination for events, entertainment, casino thrills, delicious dining and hotel stays. When she has visitors from out of town, she always takes them to this venue. She loves that you can choose from the many fine dining restaurants on offer or opt for fast food at the food court.

She says the Lonehill Residents Association is very active, and through its partnership with Fidelity Security, Lonehill has security 24/7. There are guards on foot and in patrol cars, and there are strict security measures in estates and complexes that ensure residents have peace of mind. On any day of the week, you can see runners and walkers on the roads, mothers pushing babies in prams and families walking dogs in Lonehill Park.

The Lonehill Shopping Centre has stores such as Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Clicks, a Post Office, Mugg and Bean and Virgin Active and many others. There are also good schools in the area, including Crawford College and Crawford Preparatory School.

Lonehill is more than just a place to live, work or play. It is an investment that appreciates with time while the investor enjoys the lifestyle of living in a Fourways suburb.

I love Lonehill for its peace and tranquillity – it is a safe suburb to live in

-Portia Mazibuko, resident.
