Head down to Bryanston for some Tiger’s Milk

Bryanston’s latest offering is perfect for everything from drinks to family celebrations.

Capetonians will already know the wonders of Tiger’s Milk, as Cape Town is already home to five of these fun, friendly, upmarket restaurants with a focus on great food and great experiences. But as of the end of 2016, Joburgers can also enjoy the delights of Tiger’s Milk, with the first Gauteng branch having opened in Bryanston. Graeme Moyles, general manager, gives us the lowdown on this new restaurant and bar.

What’s Tiger’s Milk all about?

Our focus has always been on providing good food, good company and good times. We’re open to everyone – whether you’re coming with the family to celebrate with an incredible burger and a gin and tonic – which we serve on tap – on a Sunday afternoon, or popping in after a long week at work to start your weekend off right with a Tiger’s Milk draft on Friday night, we’ve got you covered. Our menu is full of delicious, no-frills options, so the focus is on quality and taste, and no matter who you are, you’ll find something you love.

Why make the move to Joburg, and why did you choose Bryanston as your new home?

We have incredibly dynamic directors, and they recognised that Joburg was calling out for an awesome place like Tiger’s Milk – somewhere that was upmarket, but affordable and accessible and open to everyone. When we found this site (on the corner of St James Crescent and Bryanston Drive) we knew it would be perfect because there’s really nowhere else that’s as central as this. We love that people can come from all over Joburg to have a good time here, and Bryanston speaks to all different types of Joburgers, from families to businesspeople – just like Tiger’s Milk does.

What’s next for Tiger’s Milk?

We’re in the process of looking at more sites across Gauteng, with a Tiger’s Milk opening very soon in Pretoria. Ultimately, we’re excited for every opportunity to share our passion for great food and great experiences with South Africa as a whole – we’re in this industry because we love what we do. Sandton is a vibrant, modern neighbourhood that contains the richest square mile in Africa. It is the business gateway into Africa for many large corporations and attracts thousands of ambitious people seeking their fortunes. But Sandton is not just about big business, residents find plenty of time for leisure too. World class shopping centres, and a buzzing social scene are a huge hit with the young and young at heart. Perhaps surprisingly, there is a huge amount of green space in the area that residents take advantage of to exercise or just take a breather.
