The ever-evolving area of Equestria, located east of Pretoria’s city centre, is characterised by complexes of modern starter homes, tranquil garden centres, convenient shopping centres and relaxing retirement villages. This suburb is located between Simon Vermooten Road to the west, Solomon Mahlangu Drive to the east, Ouklipmuur Avenue to the north and Lynnwood Road to the south, has rapidly developed in the last few years.

A unique feature of this suburb is the Bester Birds & Animals Zoo Park with animals imported from zoos from across the world including the squirrel monkey, striped hyena and red kangaroo. The area has many garden centres supplying a variety of seedlings, herbs, pots, garden decor, braais and outdoor furniture.

Equestria has a number of great schools including Kiddies Academy Nursery School, Little Flowers Babyhouse and Pre-primary, Moonlight International School and Star College Pretoria. Pretoria East
Accessible escape from the city
Pretoria East offers a tranquil escape for those that work in the city. The leafy streets and well established gardens give the area a sedate, village-like feel. Everything is close-by and residents don't have to go far for shopping or recreation. It's a popular suburb, largely due to the fact that it's easily accessible from major highways - the N1 and the N4. This neighbourhood attracts a good mixture of young professionals and young families, with kid-friendly activities widely available. There are large, open spaces in this area, allowing for big gardens and freestanding houses. However, this area has many townhouses, clusters and security estates as well.
