Located close to main roads and the highway, Magaliessig is a sought-after peaceful and safe suburb thanks to great security initiatives provided by the Magaliessig Action Forum.
Everything you need to know about Magaliessig
It is also close to shopping centres, the driving range and schools, and is home to established and young families as well as professionals looking for safety and convenient suburban living.
Deon Prinsloo has lived in Magaliessig for seven years and finds this suburb compatible with his lifestyle as it also allows him to walk to his workplace at The Palazzo hotel in Montecasino. He says it’s interesting to be part of the growing greater Fourways area as it is vibrant and has everything he needs at his doorstep.
Design Quarter shopping centre, which is walking distance from his house, gives him access to homeware and convenience stores. He can also enjoy coffee at the Woolworths Cafe, and lunch or dinner at The Kitchen Bar.
As a person who loves flowers and plants, he frequents Norfolk Village Nursery on Main Road to stock up on garden goodies.
Merrow Down Plaza is home to the popular Society Eatery & Craft Bar, and cyclists need not travel far for their gear as they can shop at the Cycle Lab store.
Although Montecasino is his place of work, he finds time to eat and catch a show at The Teatro and sometimes Movies @ Montecasino.
Pineslopes shopping centre is also within walking distance. There is also a Spar supermarket which Prinsloo frequents if he needs a change of scenery.
I love the convenience of being close to main roads and highways, it certainly is a good location for both business and leisure.
Deon Prinsloo, resident.
