Southdowns College sets a higher standard of excellence in that they run an enrichment schools programme, whereby pupils are given specialist instruction across a broad spectrum of academic, sporting and cultural subjects. Offering music under the tutelage of top musical specialists in the industry; rugby enrichment with a Blue Bulls under 19 coach; hockey with the South African assistant Ladies’ coach; cricket with professional coaches from the Titans; swimming with Rocco Meyering – a high performance coach at Tuks University; Dance with Paula Olivier who is a national dance choreographer, as well as drama, tennis, photography, journalism and foundation studies or art with specialists who have expertise in the fields.
