Moreleta area and property guide

Moreleta Park, situated south-east of Pretoria city centre, offers a pleasant environment filled with scenic views, top entertainment, schools and health-care facilities.

The suburb is centrally located between Solomon Mahlangu Drive in the north, Jacques Street in the west, Garsfontein Road to the east, Kosi Bay Road to the south and is close to the N1 highway.

Moreleta Park has a mixture of properties from large spacious homes to modern apartments, retirement villages, office parks, retail shopping centres, hospitals and churches. This quiet suburb is filled with active residents who care about their suburb and maintaining its peaceful character.

Perfect for nature lovers, the suburb is home to the Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve, a prime wildlife destination providing a peaceful retreat to view wildlife such as zebras, springbok and antelope. The Moreleta Park Community Policing Forum works closely with the police to keep the suburb safe, using a network of information and voluntary patrols.

Parkview Centre, a contemporary lifestyle centre in the suburb, has a selection of quality retailers, offering home interior, beauty, boutique and grocery stores. At the Barnyard Theatre you can enjoy a picnic while watching South African performers and bands in uplifting music shows in a rustic, barn-style theatre.

Kimiad Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course off Wekker Street, offers beautiful scenery to play a few rounds of golf on the weekend. The Moreleta Village Market, also featured at this golf course on weekends, brings residents together to enjoy the outdoors while shopping for handmade crafts, deli-style products and baked goods.

Moreleta Park is also filled with great restaurants including Ciao, Rustica Restaurant, Rademeyers, Antonnio’s Italian Kitchen and Ed’s Diner. Schools in the area include the Pretoria Chinese School, Sindawonye Higher Primary School, Moreleta Montessori School and Sungarden Nursery School.

When it comes to health, the fitness professionals at Virgin Active Parkview will help you create your own training programme, and medical professionals at Netcare Pretoria East Hospital and Kloof Mediclinic will meet your health-care needs. For a comfortable lifestyle in a suburb with active residents, beautiful scenery and diverse shopping, dining, school and medical facilities, Moreleta Park offers something for everyone.

“I love living in Moreleta Park as it is a peaceful family suburb with a wonderful nature reserve to view wildlife, and the Kimiad Golf Course with walking trails is an enjoyable place to relax on the weekends.
