When Italian television station, RAI International, popped into Soukop Head Office early in February, it wasn’t just to see the neighbourhood.
Although they were thoroughly impressed by what they did see. The real reason for their visit, was to meet and interview Dina Soukpo, CEO of Soukop Propery Group. The only person in Durban and one of just a couple in South Africa, Dina was selected by RAI International Community, to be interviewed for their documentary series which features Italian nationals who have made exceptional achievements in their country of adoption. Dina was delighted to host – and be interviewed by - internationally renowned theatre artist, director, presenter, documentarian and journalist Paolo Emilio Landi.
“It was a huge privilege to meet Paolo Landi, a name that I have grown up revering! I have followed his contribution to theatre, both classical and modern, his skills in journalism and documentary, his travels around the five continents which include exposes of Serbia, Albania, Russia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Germany and France, and his work in English, French, Russian and Italian for many years. The thrill of meeting him in person was immeasurable!” comments Dina. “While showing them the city and the properties on offer, and seeing their disbelief at the reasonable prices, the plentiful spaces, and variety of design, it was driven home to me once again, just how much we have to enjoy right here!” adds Dina.
Dina Soukop has been nominated for and received many awards in recognition her achievements, including Business Woman of the Year 2015 at the Italian-South African Chamber of Trade and Industries Business Excellence Awards.
