4 Bed House in Zimbali Estate
A newly upgraded 'Hideaway Villa', with a tranquil 'lodge type' feel, perfectly nestled within the pristine Beach Dune Forest of the Zimbali Coastal Resort in Ballito.
Positioned only a few hundred metres from the beach and the Valley of the Pools, the secluded location of the home offers great privacy with incredible bird and animal life, with the resident Fish Eagle calls on the nearby lake a particularly unique experience.
The space
The home offers spacious inter-leading entertainment areas that seamlessly link the lounging, dining and relaxation areas, with the BBQ area, back garden, pool and fire-pit features.
The pristine coastal forest surrounding the house and the adjoining protected Holy Hill Conservation Area add to the jungle feel of being fully immersed in nature. The two Balau feature showers allowing one to maximise the unique experience of being within the forest wilderness.
It is not uncommon to see several species of antelope and duiker feeding in the bushes and garden around the house. The prolific birdlife calls can keep one mesmerised for hours, providing for a perfect backdrop to a typical, slow, lazy, rejuvenating African afternoon, with the sounds of the crashing ocean waves not too far away.
The Valley of The Pools (the favourite location for a swim, sumptuous meal or simply to relax) ) is only a few minutes walk away. It is positioned right on the beach, framed by the steep forested beach dunes of the reserve. It allows private beach access to an extensive unspoilt expanse of beach, reserved exclusively for the guests and residents of the Estate.
The home also comes with an electric golf buggy, which is for use by the guests for the duration of their stay.
The home is serviced by Beauty, the Caretaker, six days a week, Monday to Saturday (this excludes personal laundry items). For personal laundry services you are welcome to discuss with Mary directly.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the facilities within the Zimbali Coastal Estate, including the restaurants, swimming pools and beaches.
There are several fantastic restaurants within the estate, which include restaurants at the Valley of the Pools itself, the Country Club, the Beach Club and several restaurants within the Zimbali Capital Hotel, including a fine dining restaurant that specialises in Durban's finest Indian cuisine.
There are various pools within the estate, the most popular of these being at the Valley of the Pools. Being right on the beach, these have unobstructed views of the ocean (one of these pools is also heated)
There is also an oasis of pools at the Bush Buck Club, (ideal for small kids and children) The nearby Jungle Gym and trampolines also help to keep the little ones entertained.
However a visit to the pools at the hotel Beach Club and its accompanying Ayoba Restaurant is also a must for a lazy relaxing afternoon or a sundowner cocktail.
Use of the tennis courts (either at the Country club or at the Bush Buck Club) are also available to guests free of charge (you just need to bring your own rackets and balls) A round of Golf is however chargeable and can be arranged at the Country Club.
The only facilities not available to guests are the Fitness Centre and the Squash Courts.
