Big Game Estate

Great stand on the banks of the dry river bed. Moditlo is 12km from Hoedspruit on the R40. The magnificent Northern Drakensberg Mountains forms the backdrop of the reserve. This stand is on the banks of the river with beautiful big trees. The reserve is home to the Big Four consisting of lion, Leopard, Rhino and Elephant. Plains game are numerous and include Kudu, Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala and Waterbuck amongst others. There are also Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena. The estate has two seasonal rivers running through it the Mbezi and Moditlo. Vegetation on the reserve varies from riverine to open plains with a magnificent variety of trees including, Knobthorn, Marula, Leadwood, Weeping Boer Bean and Wild Fig.
