Game Farm in Bathurst and Surrounds

Nyala Valley. A 329 ha Game Farm, completely game fenced with a CAE situated on the upper reaches of the Kleinemonde River about 7km North of Kleinemonde, close to Port Alfred.

Buildings include a lovely thatched lodge with a main building which includes an open plan kitchen /lounge and fireplace along with 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms all set with an open braai area on the valley floor. These buildings are off the grid relying on solar power.

Other buildings include a campsite with group bunk accommodation for up to 24 people. This complex has a large deck, fireplace and a kitchen area with showers operated by a donkey system. At present this hiking /canoe adventure is operated by an outside party, the Estuary is well within reach by canoe. A third building could be utilized as a manager''s house ( in need of some attention ) with a shed that is brilliant as a storage unit/garage. There is Eskom power in this area, however, cell phone coverage is limited to certain areas.

Water is obtained from the river (freshwater) and is pumped up to a reservoir and thereafter gravity fed to areas below. This river has numerous pools and is the lifeblood of the property attracting game, birds, and even otters to the area. There are other earth dams, a bird hide with game such as Nyala 80 (numbers all approx), Giraffe 14, Wildebeest 25, Impala 60, Kudu 20, Zebra 20, Duiker, Blue Duiker, Warthog and Bushbuck.

A very beautiful section of ground with a river with an abundance of Wild Date Palms creating a green vein of succulent grasses an ideal thicket for a lifestyle with game.
