3 Bed House in Bathurst and Surrounds
EXCLUSIVE SOLE MANDATE
This three-bedroom home, centrally situated and within walking distance to the centre of the village is an ideal fixer-upper in need of some TLC to restore it to its former glory.
The property is a large 1654 square metres, with lovely fruit trees, and a cosy braai area.
Upstairs is the main house, with three bedrooms, a lounge, diningroom, kitchen and bathroom.
Downstairs is a large room that can be turned into a flatlet or used as a utility or hobby area. Lovely Oregon floors throughout.
A two car garage on the property ensures vehicles are safe behind the perimeter fence.
A borehole on the property ensures water availability.
Bathurst is approximately 12 kilometres inland from Port Alfred, on the R67 road, in the Eastern Cape. Its chief claim to fame is that it was the early administrative centre established by the British Government for the 1820 British Settlers who were sent to the district as a buffer between the Cape Colony and the Xhosa pastoralists who were migrating southwards and westwards along the coast. Bathurst is now part of the Ndlambe Local Municipality.
Many original settler houses and other buildings have been preserved, and there remains much of the look and feel of an English village of the early 19th century.
