Terms and Conditions pertaining to the Private Property Decorex Joburg competition.
- The promoter of the competition is Private Property South Africa Proprietary Limited, Reg. No 2012/065291/07.
Eligibility to enter
- This competition is open to any persons over the age of 18 who currently resides in the Republic of South Africa, holds a valid South African ID document and reside in Gauteng including estate agents who are in subscription with Private Property. The competition will run from 1 August 2024 – 4 August 2024 at the Sandton Convention Centre
How to enter
In order to enter the competition, participants must:
- Scan the QR Code.
- Participants must fill in their details.
- Participants must answer a few questions.
- Participants are permitted to submit multiple entries into the Competition
The prize
The prize awarded to the winner of the Competition shall consist exclusively of a Takealot voucher to the value of R500
The prize is non-transferable and holds no cash value, nor may it be exchanged for any substitute prize or other form of compensation.
Prizes will be allocated within 72 hours after the winner has been contacted. Winners will receive their prize in the form of an
electronic voucher, sent via e-mail.- Once the winner is contacted, participants must provide valid, accurate and complete contact information. Only once all these steps have been followed, will the competition entry be valid.
Winner announcement
Prize winners will be selected from a pool of qualified entries by a randomised draw. This will be overseen by the Private Property Chief Brand & Marketing Officer to ensure that selected winners meet the eligibility criteria for the competition.
Although due care will be exercised, Private Property will not be held liable for any glitches, technical or otherwise which may arise.
The winning draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered.
Winners will be contacted by Private Property’s marketing team via email.
Receipt of the prize
- Winners will have 24 hours to claim their prize before it is forfeited to a redraw. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash. The winner must be in possession of a valid South African ID document.
Data protection and publicity
You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by Private Property for administering the prize draw and for those purposes as defined in our privacy notice.

The winner agrees to the release of their first name, surname, email and cellphone number to any other prize draw participants if requested via Private Property.
All personal information shall be used in accordance with Private Property’s Privacy Policy.
By entering the competition, all entrants agree that any participation in this competition is subject to these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by Private Property in its sole discretion, and that Private Property’s decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding.
All information relating to this competition published on any promotional or advertising material in any media at any time before or during the competition period will form part of the terms and conditions of entry.
Limitation of Liability
By entering, the participant agrees to the following: Private Property, their directors, affiliates, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, suppliers, contractors and sponsors assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage, howsoever arising from or as a result of a participant’s participation in the competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising. Prior to awarding the prize, Private Property may require the winner to sign such an indemnity and waiver of liability. If a winner cannot provide such indemnity, they will forfeit the prize and the prize will once again be distributed by a separate draw. The ineligible winner will have no claim against Private Property in this event. Private Property reserves the right at any time prior to the final draw, to vary the nature of the competition or the prizes or to vary these terms and conditions or to withdraw from the competition. In such event, all participants hereby waive any rights that they may have against Private Property and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against Private Property their directors, affiliates, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants. Any amended terms and conditions published in any media will form part of the terms and conditions of the competition, to which terms entrants agree the competition is subject.
General
Private Property reserves the right to remove/delete any pictures and or posts and tweets it may deem inappropriate. Private Property (Pty) Ltd does not accept responsibility or liability for any expenses or fees required to use, maintain, or enjoy the prize won in this competition. Private Property reserves the right to withdraw and/or alter any of the terms & conditions of this offer at any time, without prior notice. No employees, directors, agents, or consultants (or their immediate families) directly connected to or in the employment of Private Property (Pty) Ltd, its subsidiaries and business partners, associates, advertising or promotion agencies, and staff members of the participating outlets, may take part in the competition. By “agents” and “business partners” we are NOT referring to Estate Agent partners who have a subscription with Private Property.
By accepting the prize, winners agree that Private Property will be entitled to publish their names and photographs at no cost, in any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale, marketing communications or public relations material for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the end of the competition period. All participants and winners indemnify the organisers, associated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies and their directors, officers, employees and agents, against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever in connection with their participation in any way in this promotion. Prior to awarding the prize, Private Property may require the winner to sign such an authorisation/indemnity.
