The Vat Jou Goed en Trek team, along with Johannes van Den Berg, from Just Property, visited a married couple Tracy and Graeme in Cape Town.
The team will renovate 2 out of the 3 bedrooms, giving Tracy and Graeme the spacious and intimate bedroom they deserve. They will also transform their oldest son’s bedroom – he’s growing up so his toys will be replaced with a study table that doubles up as a bunk bed.
Interior designer, Lara Fourie, suggests that the team play with various shades of grey in the main bedroom - a tip that seem to excite construction expert, Kevin, for all the wrong reasons.
In the main bedroom, Lara and Callie plan a headboard that will consist of various pieces of wood cut into different shapes and sizes. They are all mounted against the wall and painted in various shades of grey and black.
Top Carpets and Floors joins the team this week to replaces the old rundown carpets with beautiful wood finish flooring in all 3 bedrooms.
In the children's room, the team decides to put in a bunk bed with a table underneath. The aim is to optimize the use of space since the room is so small and by putting the table underneath the bed it creates the illusion of a bigger room.
Halfway through the renovation, Tracy takes Henck on a tour of Cape Town in the Red City Tour Bus. It gives them time to reflect on the renovations whilst taking in the breath-taking views of Cape Town.
Back home, it is time for the final touches before the house gets shown to potential buyers.
The buyers seem to love the location of the property, the layout of the house, the wooden floors and the modern look of the bedrooms.
All in all, the team seems to have exceeded expectations and completed yet another successful renovation in only 72 hours.
