With more people choosing to work from home, creating a quiet, comfortable space that is conducive to work is imperative.
Working from home is a trend that's set to continue according to research. Results of a survey of Global business leaders in London found that 34% of business leaders predicted 50% of their workforce would be working remotely by 2020.
A report on Forbes highlighted similar results, according the Bureau of Labour Statistics, 24% of employed people did some or most of their work from home. The number rose when it came to managerial and professional positions to 35 -38%, with 68% of American workers expecting to work remotely in future.
With this in mind, a home office is becoming one of the most important rooms in the home. A quiet, comfortable space, that reflects your personal style and needs, can help you work, plan and organise more effectively. Take a look at some of the home office's colour schemes on trend right now.
Neutrals and Naturals
Neutral colour schemes are calming and non distracting. The addition of natural wood and plants, brings a closer link to nature and gives one a break from all the technology. Mixing modern pieces with classic pieces is practical and interesting.
Contemporary natural shades have been used in this masculine home office. Introducing different textures in the furniture and accessories gives it a modern feel.
An all white office creates a feeling of space and clarity. It can be a bit isolating for long periods, introducing some plants would add some stress relief and a closer link to nature, which has been shown to increase productivity.
Blue and Green
From dark and moody to cool and invigorating, blue is peaceful and inspirational. Add warmth to blue colour schemes with the addition of browns and tans in the furniture and accessories.
Grey and Pink
While the pastel trend may have slowed down a bit, the pink trend is set to continue. This is not surprising when you consider the positive qualities of pink.
