85 ha Farm in Mossel Bay Central

This 85-ha farm is situated in Ruiterbos, only 28 km from Hartenbos on the foot of the Mountains ensuring a higher and more frequent rainfall. The long-term average rainfall exceeds 700mm/year. The farm is well located only 3,2km gravel road off the main R328 tar road between Hartenbos/Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn.

Ruiterbos is one of the most sought-after areas in the larger Mossel Bay/George area, for many good reasons. An area where most prefer to invest.

The farm has 65 ha of arable land all of which are currently utilized as grazing pastures with seasonal pasture crops and grain crops. The arable land is well laid out, easy to cultivate and mostly flat to gently sloped. The farm consists of two separate portions (33ha and 52ha) that are run as a unit/one farm.

Water is supplied by a fresh fountain from where the water is pumped to the homestead and livestock drinking points. Water is pumped with a 1.4kW solar pump. The farms soil is well above average for the area, deeper than average loam soil that ensures optimal conditions for plant growth.

The area is home to a wide range of free roaming wildlife including bushbuck, cape grysbok, duiker and various other smaller animals and a long list of bird species.

The farm is divided up into 10 livestock camps with one cattle working facility near the house.

Infrastructure on the farm includes a main 3-bedroom farmhouse, two storage buildings, a labourers house and a 70 000-liter water storage dam at the homestead. The infrastructure on the property is not in good condition.

Electricity is supplied by a 25kVA 3 phase Eskom connection.
