Seaside Haven for Ocean Enthusiasts in Umdloti’s South beach

I love waking up each morning to the soothing sound of waves crashing just 25 meters from my doorstep. With panoramic sea views, one can see when the resident dolphins surf, migrating humpback whales and the excitement of weather systems passing by. The beach is an extension of the home, just a few steps away, watch the ebb and flow of the tides. I love strolling onto the sand, and the vibrant energy of the popular surf break right here. Swimming out the gulley and finding a turtle or catching a wave, or exploring the rock pools at low tide to find an octopus.

The real highlight of this home is its location. Nestled on the coveted south side of Umdloti, it’s undeniably the best spot for ocean enthusiasts. It’s not just a home; it’s a lifestyle. Living here, you become part of a friendly community of like-minded ocean enthusiasts. There's a charming coffee shop on the corner and the parking lot here serves as the hub for all ocean sports activities. Everyone here shares a love for the sea, and unplanned gatherings at the beach occur for sundowners and sunrises whenever the sea conditions are magic. Whenever I drive home it makes me happy watching the waves roll in and see who is about.

The apartment features two cozy bedrooms and two bathrooms, open-plan kitchen and living room flow onto a large deck, where you can watch the waves , surfers, weather and wave at friends strolling by. There’s a shower and toy-room in the parking lot for all the surfboards and beach gear, plus a handy laundry room at the back of the property.

You can get by without a car here, everything is walking distance and there is a tuc-tuc service. There are a handful of excellent restaurants, cafes and shops. It’s 1km walk to the pristine primary coastal forest trail, escape the sun and wind to go find sanctuary in the nearby forest with duiker, buck and incredible birdlife and the sound of the waves behind.

This seaside paradise offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, vibrant community, and an active, outdoor lifestyle. It’s a place where you be opportunistic to quickly enjoy a swim, surf, beach comb, rockpool, forest escape, coffee date…..
