49.2 ha Farm in Musina

The farm Vera 49 & 50 is 49,2 hectare in extent and borders on the Sandriver where its main water source is from.

The 6 meter borehole delivers 24 000 liter per hour. This is pumped to a lined lay-dam that has two centrifugal pumps .

One pump delivers this water to a 13 hectare field planted to lucern. The field is irrigated with a pivot . The remainder of

the field is planted to chilies and irrigated using drip lines. The chili plantings are 2 hectare in extent.

Crops that have and can be planted are cabbage and maize. The owner even suggested that it is suitable for Gooseberries.

The remainder of the farm is used for grazing sheep and game. The farm has a 15 x 12 m open shed for the storage of Lucern bales.

The other buildings consist of a workshop, workers accommodation with a large open living area, two houses and car ports.

The main house has three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge/dining room, kitchen and a veranda that extends to two sides of the house.

A lapa is built onto this which is ideal for the warm summer months. The yard has an electrified fence.

The second house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, lounge/dining room, kitchen, veranda and car ports. An enclosed lapa is used for braai''s.

Both houses have verandas enclosed with shade cloth and the main house with picket fencing. Air-cons are featured in both houses.
