It is a Conservancy area slightly inland from Umdloti and only 15 minutes from Ballito, and 30 minutes from Durban and just over 2 kms from King Shaka International Airport. Established in the 1950's more as an informal settlement, however these days the focus is on rebuilding and rezoning of the area, especially in line with eco-housing.
