New residential lifestyle estate is a first for Linksfield

The Neighbourhood is a new mixed-use development in the historic Linksfield suburb and is the only secure residential and lifestyle estate in the area. The development was purposefully planned and sensitively built around existing parklands and the area’s large, sapient trees – creating a serene, nature-filled environment on one hand and all the conveniences of a well-placed urban locale on the other. There are three distinct developments within The Neighbourhood: The Estate, The Lofts and The Square.

The Estate

The Estate is set within pristine parklands and offers stunning fairway views of the adjacent Huddle Park Golf Course. Residents can enjoy the expansive surrounding natural parklands, which are perfect for picnics and child-friendly play, as well as a number of walking and cycling trails. A variety of stand sizes are available.

The Lofts

The Lofts offer an inner-city loft-living experience within a tranquil, nature-inspired suburban setting. Large glazed windows provide a seamless connection with the surrounding natural parklands, complemented by the spacious, light-filled interior. Two and three-bedroom apartments are available, including ground floor and upper-level units and penthouses.

The Square

The Square is the social hub of the estate and offers residents a special village-style experience. Quaint restaurants and buzzing coffee shops are set under natural, shaded canopies, while anchor supermarket and health and beauty stores provide convenient shopping for every necessity. The Square is open to the public and is a perfect meeting point for residents.

The Neighbourhood is urban in location but feels miles away from the city. It offers easy access to the Linksfield off-ramp and a 15-minute drive to OR Tambo International Airport. Many of Johannesburg’s top private schools are located in the area as are historic sporting grounds such as The Wanderers and Johannesburg Golf Club.

Johannesburg CBD and Bruma
Vibrant big city living
The Johannesburg CBD encompasses a vast area, ranging from the affluent areas like Linksfield, to more affordable areas like Hillbrow and Bruma. After years of being seen as a no-go area by many, the city centre has bounced back to being in demand again. A massive urban regeneration project has seen money pumped into the area and occupancy is up and crime is down - a sure sign that it's working. The Maboneng precinct, for instance, now attracts a hip, arty crowd to its bars, restaurants, shops and art galleries.
