Leafy Suburban Character

Although Springs is a predominantly industrial city, its suburbs are lush and leafy, with many trees, parks and open spaces giving it a suburban character. This neighbourhood offers a peaceful and quiet lifestyle, about 50km from Johannesburg. Founded as a coal and gold mining town in 1904, Springs has a rich history which can be seen in its older buildings that bring the past into the present. This is an economically diverse neighbourhood with employment opportunities in many industries ranging from manufacturing, to commerce, to hospitality and mining.

Vanderbijlpark is situated on the banks of the Vaal River in Gauteng. Together with its neighbouring towns Vereeniging and Sasolburg, it forms the Vaal Triangle, a prominent industrial region. This neighbourhood is peaceful, and has a close community. Locals are predominantly rugby fans, with action cricket being another well supported sport. They can often be found in the pubs watching a rugby game, or supporting school rugby games in great numbers.
