With its name coming from the geothermic hot springs around which the town was built, this area is also known by the name Warmbaths. Bela-Bela offers many things to do including excellent sport and recreation, Big Five game viewing, hiking, quad bikes and much more. Bela-Bela has a unique 18 hole golf estate at Zebula Lodges. It combines luxury private-owned accommodation, a clubhouse and game viewing drives on the estate. Great for a round of golf, or an upmarket home.

The hot springs yield over 20 000 litres of water per hour at a temperature of 53ºC, and flow into the enclosed spa complex, where pools and spa treatment rooms are open to visitors. The areas surrounding the hot springs have been developed to provide a range of water sport facilities, including super tubes, speed slides, a wave pool, river ride, cable water ski-ing, and paddle boating.
